Debbie McKenna, family friend, and a counselor at Sopris Elementary School in Glenwood Springs,
assists while Marla sorts through the vast array of teaching materials she had put together during her
career teaching elementary school. Although it was hard for Marla to let go, she decided it was time
that these hard-earned childrens books, art supplies, and learning materials, again benefit as many students
as possible. Towards this end, she donated these materials by holding an open house for teachers
at Sopris Elementary, welcoming them to use them as they see fit.
